Coconut sambol recipe

This recipe was made for us almost everywhere we’ve been. It is amazing and so simple to make if you have these 5 ingredients. Lovely eaten with roti or flat bread.

Ingredients

Grated fresh coconut

Finley chopped onion

Finely chopped red or green chilli

Pinch of salt

Juice of a lime

Method

Grind together onion, chilli, coconut and salt. Once crushed add juice of one lime. That’s it!

Roti recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Flour

1/2 cup grated coconut

Water to mix

Method

Mix ingredients into a dough and cook on a hot plate for about 3 mins each side. That’s it!
