My overall trekking route and a request of you!

Girls in the refuge for survivors of GBV learning to weave

Below is my final draft of the route showing my planned trek across Sri Lanka later this year to raise funds to support:

  • girls/women who are survivors of gender-based violence
  • children’s education equipment for schools in hard to reach areas and for children from low income families
  • children living in orphanages and helping to prevent child abandonment resulting in children being sent to orphanages
The planned route from Galle in the south to Jaffna in the north and then back down the middle to Colombo

If you’re interested in helping me raise £10,000 please do one of the following:

  1. Share my website address www.marciatrekssrilanka.com with your friends via email, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram etc if you think they may be interested or direct to blog page www.marciatrekssrilanka.com/blog/
  2. Ask a question in the comment box below for me to reply to
  3. Direct message me to discuss possible ways for you or someone you know to get involved in fundraising or joining me on a leg of the trek
  4. Consider volunteering your skills in Sri Lanka at an orphanage, shelter for women or at a local educational centre
  5. Simply donate at just giving – every penny donated will go directly to those projects outlined above and I’ll give regular updates on progress on outcomes achieved with each of them through my blogs
